Tender Beginnings Birth Services LLC, as well as providing great midwifery care, is also a training program for midwifery students. We are blessed to have compassionate, hard-working students who are all trained in NRP, (Neonatal Resuscitation.) The students are at different levels of training and experience and provide care to the point of their abilities under the supervision of a midwife.
Holly Peckskamp
Holly has finished her training with Tender Beginnings and is available as a back up for the current students.
She walked a slightly different path towards the call of midwifery. It was the challenging birth of her son in 2009, that gave her significant pause about how she had prepared for birth.
Although, she feels all birth is beautiful as is, her own birth story was not without several layers of fear. From the moment her son was born, she was determined to learn deeply about the connections between fear and birth. Her first step was becoming a labor doula (2009). This path allowed her to become part of the joyful aspects of giving birth with education and advocacy. It was life changing and life healing. In
addition, she developed a childbirth education course to help families learn how to surrender and advocate during the birth journey. This included pre-natal yoga in preparation for the physiological process of birth. Holly is pursuing a midwifery certification through NARM (North American Registry of Midwives.) Holly has attended over 50 home births and water births as a Tender Beginnings Birth Services team member and over 100+ overall.

Isabel Stanlee
The love of birth was first sparked for Isabel as a young teen while experiencing the birth of four siblings at home. Her mother’s midwife even let her catch two siblings, and she was hooked on birth, home birth especially. As college approached, she considered nursing, but as time went on midwifery seemed the perfect choice. She loved the holistic approach to prenatal and labor care, and the philosophy of respecting the woman and family’s needs and desires.
She began a midwifery education program based in Texas in 2020 and began an apprenticeship with a Texas midwife later that year. After getting married she continued her training with a midwife in Virginia and was able to see how midwives from different states operate and different state laws. Her long journey brought her to Nashville, and she began training with Mary Anne to become a Certified Professional Midwife herself.
She is passionate about women’s health and caring holistically for mothers during pregnancy and birth. Her heart is to show women the beauty of their bodies, and to educate families on pregnancy and birth.

Taylore Estep
Tarylore is our most experienced student in her 3rd phase of a 4 phase program. She monitors the “Midwife Hotline” for Tender Beginnings to assist Mary Anne in promptly returning calls if Mary Anne is with a Mother.
From a young age, Taylore knew she was called to birth work. After the birth of her first child (with a midwife) she pursued nursing school and continued on that path until after the birth of her second child when the Lord made it clear the hospital was not the setting she should serve in primarily. During this time, Taylore worked as a CNA and really discovered her passion is in serving the needs of others while gaining knowledge to help others make educated decisions about their care.
From the time of finding out she was expecting her first child, Taylore studied everything she could about pregnancy, natural birth, living, and health. During this time, Taylore also found her love for healing with herbs and began making her family’s tinctures and recipes for healing. While Taylore went on to have five more children, she also attended as many labors and births for her friends and family as possible as doula support and would pour herself into helping them to educate themselves to feel confident in all their choices they made.
After having her seventh child in October of 2020, Taylore knew the calling to midwifery was undeniable, and she began to look into how to start the process. The timing was not right at the time with her children, but in May of 2022, the door opened for her to begin training for her dream of becoming a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) with Tender Beginnings.
Taylore has eight children, the last five born at home, and is a homeschooling mom to all of her children. Taylore’s strong faith, calling to serve families, and support of her family is what gives her the drive to pursue her dream and calling.
