As former President of the Tennessee Midwives Association (TMA) and as a childbirth/midwifery advocate, Mary Anne has been featured in several news articles about home birth. We have reproduced these with permission from the sources for your enjoyment:
https://www.gentlevoiceprenatalsupport.com/about – Hypnobabies is the child birth class most of our clients take. Amanda Johnson is a local instructor that we highly recommend.

www.aboundingjoy.com/insstats.htm – Statistics on the safety of homebirth.
www.cdc.gov/groupbstrep – Group B Strep is currently a controversial issue in Obstetrics. This bacteria is a normal part of vaginal flora that can overgrow to levels that can be dangerous for some babies at birth. Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta has done extensive research on this issue. This site has the most up-to-date recommendations for treatment of Group B Strep available. This is important because many doctors are not aware of recent changes in treatment protocols. Regardless of who you choose to assist you in childbirth, you should be prepared to educate yourself on this issue so that you can make good choices.
